Guthrie Le Fevre

A coastal BC resident with “island life” ingrained from an early age, Guthrie Le Fevre brings a deep respect for the people and places that make up British Columbia’s coastal communities. Guthrie combines local understanding with a global perspective, qualities that inform his approach to leadership, collaboration, and meaningful development.

Though Guthrie has many years of experience in construction, it’s his early background, raised with values of accountability and responsibility, that shaped his instinct for connection and service. After graduating from Shawnigan Lake School, he toyed with career interests but found his stride in carrying out the hard-working tasks of construction, where his internal drive allowed him to excel. With early years involved in diverse operations between hospitality and development under his hardworking father, he learned discipline, adaptability, and values that shape many of his fundamental beliefs and how he operates in business.

Later, he met another influential mentor and previous business partner, Alan Fletcher, with whom he built AFC into what it is today. Together, they delivered a wide range of projects—from utilitarian washrooms to one-of-a-kind residential builds in remote locations, where adaptability and teamwork were key to success.

Scott Torry

With deep roots in the construction industry on Vancouver Island, Scott Torry has spent his career learning every facet of a field that continues to grow and evolve. Starting out in construction, Scott developed a hands-on understanding of how strong teams and clear communication bring complex projects to life.

After graduating from high school in the Comox Valley, he attended the University of Victoria, where he further developed his technical foundation and leadership skills, experience that continues to shape his approach today.

At AFC Construction, Scott is dedicated to continuous learning alongside his team and prioritizes innovation daily, guiding projects that contribute to stronger, more connected communities across British Columbia.

Scott takes pride in the impact his work has, on clients, colleagues, and the communities AFC helps shape. His dedication to the long-term success, safety, and professionalism of the construction industry is reflected in his volunteer service with the B.C. Construction Safety Alliance, the Vancouver Island Construction Association, and the Comox Valley Airport Commission, where he served as a board member for several years.

When he’s not deep in project planning, contract negotiations, or supporting his team, Scott enjoys time with his wife Laurie, an Executive Assistant at North Island College, or exploring Vancouver Island’s mountain biking trails.

Scott believes that large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects succeed when collaboration and mentorship are at the forefront. As a Partner and through his leadership at AFC, he’s helping to develop the next generation of construction professionals who will continue building a stronger, safer, and more innovative industry for British Columbia’s future.
